The wait is over. SM Cinema Olongapo has launched on Friday, February 10, 2012, not one, not two, but three digital theaters, equipped with state-of-the-art technology which can show both 2D and 3D movies.
Movie-going customers from Olongapo City and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan jampacked the theaters on day 1 with blockbuster movies The Vow, Safehouse and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
“With a total of 769 seating capacity on cozy all-fabric seats, giant movie screens for high definition and clear imagery coupled with real sound audio set-up, watching movies here is definitely an experience with a difference,” said Paul Domingo, manager, SM Cinema Olongapo.
SM Cinema brought the first true digital viewing experience in the Philippines in 2007 at The Block SM City North Edsa.
Management has announced that by April, all SM Cinema theaters in the country will be 100% digital.
In partnership with E-Commerce and Mobile Group Inc., SM Cinema has made it possible to buy movie tickets via mobile phones.
It also has expanded the services of Snacktime by providing 100% beef gourmet burgers, coffee, beverages, candies and the classic popcorn.
Premium collectible items from favorite movies are already made available at Snacktime.
